Here's some tips for SMW hacking and yes, I asked if I could use SMWcentrals...well, some of there's are actually alright, others of there's suck.
1. If your using a verticle stage, put the scroll on none to avoid BG's that look like **** crap.
2. ExGFX is better as a set usually, don't put for example a Yoshi's Island BG with a Megaman FG, that's wrong but maybe fits together...no, It won't!
3. Never put a coin over a ? block, if you hit the block before getting the coin, it'll act like a block for some odd reason.
4. Never, Ever put a Yoshi coin on a boundary, it'll either not give points or give unlimited lifes.
5. Use only a few enemies on each screen to avoid lagging.
6. Don't use palettes that sear the eyes, a yellow and a very bright pale orange are not eye pleasing.

Cool.

No glitched graphics, it makes the hack look ugly and makes you look lazy.

No cutoffed land, same as above

Linear levels, aren't fun. Add some hills and slopes.

Make sure your overworld works.

NO FLOATING MUNCHERS

I CANNT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, IT IS JUST A CHEAP KILL, IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE MUNCHERS, CONNECT THEM TO THE LAND!

Very good points. :)
also, a add on o what ShadowninjaNick said,  if the OW gets all the SMW original stuff on it as you progress like the hills at the right of yoshi island on the original, erase the original events, that way this doesn't happen.
to erase, go to the hill with the light thing on it and press up( the  ^ button) then click the left button on the mouse and drag it over all the paths, then press delete on the keyboard. There you go.
Any more questions about The OW, tell us.

I'm Stressing This Some More, For The Love Of God, DON'T MAKE YOUR PALETTES UGLY!  That Is One Of The Most Annoying Things Ever.  I've Played Some Youtube Hacks That Have Bad Palettes.  Don't Make Them To Bright, Or The Veiwers Eyes Will Be Burnt By The Time They Are Done With Your Hack.  Don't Make Them To Dark Either.
Make Good Level Names.  You Shouldn't Make A Level Name, "lol go tu dis leval it fun"  I've Actually Seen Something Like That.  It Just Makes You Look Bad.
Try To Make Your Hack Different...Use Some Cutsom Stuff, Good Levels, Or Something Else That Will Make It Fun.  Even Though It Is A Mario Hack, It's Getting Old.
NO KAIZO.
Don't Make Blind Jumps.

By The Way, Good Tips.

May I add some?

If your going to do blind jumps at least provide a coin trail or some enemies to jump on, DONT MAKE THE COINS LEAD TO YOUR DOOM!!

Bad hacks are usually YouTube hackers, its real easy to tell (not a tip but something worth noting if your going to play a hack).

I cant think of anything else since you guys took away everything I was going to say, lol.
